Hello Friends!!

Sitting down to write this newsletter I still can’t believe the madness of the Covid-19 Virus and not sure if I should really call it a monthly highlight. In all honesty, when I first saw it all happening on the news I really didn’t think much of it. Fast forward a couple months, and toilet paper is flying off the shelves like never before, New Zealand has been on level 4 lockdown, I’m wearing sweatpants every day (no change there really) and Dan is locked in the garage working from home. But in all seriousness - it’s serious.

Thankfully we have now moved to level 3 and it seems like things are looking brighter, well kind of, I mean KFC ‘drive thru’ lines are longer than ever 🙄

Simply Whyte Design has been very lucky since everything is set up to work online and I have such fantastic clients! You guys have really been awesome, so thank you.

Some of you may not know, but on a lot of design projects I help with seeing it through end to end, which includes organsing printing. I’ve been in touch with the print gurus and I’m glad to say they are operating, but please bear with me as queues are a little long. So the wait might be a little longer than usual.

I hope wherever you are in the world that you still have lots of toilet paper and your friends and family are safe and sound and even if your neighbours are now being lovely, don’t kiss them over the fence. Thats not social distancing lol.

But enough about Covid-19 let’s check out April’s Monthly Highlights to see what shenanigans have been going down.

Forgotten who we are or how we work?

New and improved feedback tool

I know that it can be a bit frustrating having to write emails with changes or print, scribble, scan and then email back changes. So, for the last few months I’ve been looking at ways to improve this process. Previously I was sharing designs with you via Dropbox, however, in the next few weeks I’ll be rolling out the custom feedback tool - ‘Simply Whyte Comments’. How cool is that?! I’ll give you a heads up before you get it though. You will be able to directly comment on videos, audio, PDF’s and images and you won’t have to login to anything.

Looking to organise your communication and use Zoom?

I’ve created an online course where you can learn how to set up your service-based business to automate online client appointments, streamline and structure client contact to free up your time so you can stress less and give great client service. It’s perfect for Coaches, Designers, Advisers, Entrepreneurs etc. Best of all its ‘pay what you can’ pricing so it’s accessible to everyone.

Covid-19 Business Toolkit

If you are a New Zealand business and need to get some Covid-19 resources the government has provided some really great resources. They have put together a toolkit to help your business operate safely, including things like posters, signs and contact tracing templates.

Hackers are everywhere protect your information

I don’t know if its all because of Covid-19 but the increase in spammy messages, phishing emails and other random hackers trying to nab info has increased. If you are not using a secure way to store your passwords. DO IT NOW! I use www.lastpass.com its a secure and easy way to store all your passwords. You can even send them to people you are working with securely and its FREE!

Passion Project

As of a few months ago I started a passion project, which was just an outlet for me to create some beautiful, minimal line artwork. Best of all even with Covid-19 happening you can still get your hands on them as they are all digital downloads. So you can download, print and hang, all without leaving the house.
